Next soutache earrings in not typical edition. Again I used wooden circle (this time covered with silver acrylic paint). I think it looks much better than version with felt on the back. I still have to work on my soutache technique, but I think I'm much better than on the beginning. That's nice :)!

Kolejne sutaszowe kolczyki w nie do końca typowym wydaniu. Znów użyłam drewnianych kółek (tym razem pokrytych srebrną farbą akrylową). Myślę, że takie wykończenie wygląda o wiele lepiej niż wersja z filcem (wczesniej właśnie filcem podszywałam tyły). Wciąż mam nad czym ćwiczyć jeśli chodzi o sutasz, ale widzę, że zrobiłam duży krok ku lepszemu. Porównując te kolczyki z moimi pierwszymi, na pewno nie mam się czego wstydzić. Bardzo mnie to cieszy :)!
I'll be quick this time. I worked on these earrings few evenings. Everything was spontaneous. First I've made soutache part (where I've also used dark-blue ribbon). Secondly I sewed it to green felt. Next step was sticking this piece on wooden circle covered by dark-blue felt. Second side of each earring I covered with dark-green paint and varnish. It's definitely not a typical soutache earrings example but who cares? For me it's good when it's unusual ;).

Tym razem będzie krótko. Pracowałam nad tymi kolczykami kilka wieczorów. Każda część tworzenia była spontaniczna, bez rzadnego planu w głowie. Najpierw uszyłam część soutach-ową (gdzie użyłam dodatkowo granatowej wstążki). Gotowy element przyszyłam do zielonego filcu. Kolejnym krokiem było przyklejenie tego do drewnianego kółka, wczęsniej pokrytego granatowym filcem. Drugą część każdego kółka pomalowałam ciemno zieloną farbą akrylową i polakierowałam. Nie jest to typowy przykład soutachowych kolczyków, ale kto by się tym przejął? Dla mnie to nawet lepiej jak stworzę coś nietypowego ;).
When I saw jewelry made with soutache technique first time I was really charmed. "What a beauty" - I thought! I was very determined to learn how to make such beautiful things. In the internet I didn't find any useful information. I had to use my head to solve this problem. Below you can see some examples of my "learning". I agree - I'm still not perfect at this technique. I want to make something ideal but it's not so easy. First thing I need to change is precision. I need to be more focused when I'm working on new soutache item and be more gentle. I don't have much time to make new items, but I'll try find time to make something new for my present and future followers (if there will be any ;)).
